My name is Abi and I am a retired breeder of ragdoll cats, based in Callington in Cornwall.

I first became interested in the ragdoll cat when I decided to buy an indoor cat to keep me company. I bought Sigmund who as my male neuter now weighs 19lb and is absolutely adorable. He loves to spend his time curled up on the bed or on the fire place, and is always ready to have his chin tickled.

I fell in love with Sigmund so much that I decided to buy a couple of girl ragdolls, including Josephine, my first breeding queen. The saying that ragdolls are addictive is certainly true, and slowly but surely my ragdoll family got bigger as my interest in breeding and showing grew.

More recently, I decided to extend my feline family and bought four Norwegian Forest cats, who I also show, and adopted my very own Cats Protection rescue, Ayesha.

The thing that I have loved about all my cats is getting to know them and their personalities. They each have a distinct personality - Sigmund loves being mothered, Charlie loves to watch things at a distance, Alfie loves to play, Butch talks constantly, Calimero likes to steal socks from the radiator and Eponine will only accept fuss on her terms. But at the end of the day, they are a remarkable animal, and I feel very privileged to own and breed these wonderful cats.
